Rv storage and shore power

I have always had travel trailers in the past. I have always had them plugged in while in the garage. This is my first motorhome so I am a bit paranoid about the care. Will it harm anything to leave my sunseeker always plugged in. I am assuming ill want to unplug it before running the engine and before I exercise the generator?

I always open the battery disconnect switch and put Detran battery tenders on both coach and chassis batteries when in the garage. However I believe the converters used in the Sunseeker are three stage untis so you should be able to leave them plugged in all the time. I just think why keep all the electronics (converter, LP detector, microwave, tvs, etc) energized when not needed.

I use our unit at least once a month. I usually leave the fridge on all the time. This is close to my office so when I want to get away for peace and quiet to work I go to the camper.

I could think of a lot worse places to work.

Ours have always been on shore power while parked in the garage, genset while running from the day we bought them to the day we sold them. Never a problem. I haven't researched this converter yet. Hope it is the 3 stage. Had to upgrade the intellipower converter with the charge wizard on previous trailers.

I have a MH and keep plugged in all the time. I keep it at home and it is convenient if I want to check anything in the MH or open slides. I disconnect house batteries when plugged in because I had a over charge problem with the batteries.

It may be over kill from our old motor home, but we leave the batteries disconnected most of the time; but once a month run the shore power for a few days then run the RV and the generator for an hour loaded by a space heater. It seems to keep the batteries happy, but again, may be overkill
