The bottom side has a gray felt-like material. It lacks the tufting. However the springs seem bi-directional. I'd try buying a cheap foam mattress topper to make up for the lack of tufting when flipped. Worth a shot I figure.

We went to our local Mattress store tried different mattresses with the help of the owner. Told her it was for our camper. We chose one and she ordered it in a short Queen. $530. One of the best mods besides getting rid of that awful Jackknife Sofa!

We flipped ours about a month ago. Not perfect, but helped substantially. The other side has a more firm surface which we like (coupled with a mattress pad).

Ours is starting to sag too. I sleep over the cab and have a memory foam mattress over the stock foam cushions.

Serta mattress is terrible. We bought an Avena foam mattress from CW. It is fantastic.
