Satellite anybody?

Considering Dish Tailgater system. Has any one done this on your Sunseeker?

Wondering if I would have to run new coax or use exterior cable tv connector to connect dish to receiver inside.

You can use the exterior jack, however you will need to access the av system to tap into the feed for all tv's in the coach.

I can take some pics of my system and upload it tomorrow. Basically... Your A/V box should have a "From Cable" jack on the back. Since I use sat system that comes out of the back of the A/V box and into my sat receiver. The coax out from the sat receiver goes back into the "From Cable" jack on the A/V box.
Since my sat receiver box is right under the TV I run either Composite cable, or HDMI through the cabinet to the TV for the direct feed. The rest of the TV's in the camper get the broadcast from the coax input that comes from the A/V box.

Just had a meeting with the engineer to discuss this very set up osgood. I said before they make any changes they need to talk to me...most of these guys have one maybe two TV's. I've got 42" connected to Mac Mini, 70" connected to 7.1 surround, PS3, Zone 2 outside speakers, Dish Hopper, 42" to Roku box, etc. etc. All in HD.

So I think we have come up with a better design going forward. I'll run it past the forum when I get a print...but it should make it easier to hook up Sat or park cable. It's just tough to make it simple for those that want one TV and yet accessible for those that want to hook it up to everything. I think we have an acceptable compromise.

Bob, worth waiting before I make changes? I need HDTV up front at least, and at same time surround sound.

Simple suggestion... Dual Coax ports for Sat and Park Cable.... Inside, Coax port available for sat connection into A/V box... The biggest thing would be easier access to the ports on the TV, whether it is a swing away panel, or removable panel.

Ill shoot a video today as I was not able to make it to the garage yesterday.

Just as a Side note...its Brian, I'm not sure where Bob came from (but you're not the only one).

This would be for new units. Just a simpler way to try and make sure we accommodate both park cable and sat. It can be done now..just not always as easy as it could be.

Sorry Brian, that WILL NOT happen again.
