Scraping bottom

I'm in Eureka, CA temporarily. Gotta tell ya, it's NOT RV friendly. Don't even try to shop in your RV. The access points to the parking lots to the "big box" stores all have these "dips" in them to cause your RV to scrape bottom. I scraped bottom in and out of Rite Aid, and Costco. I noticed ALL the parking lots have this.

I'm hoping I didn't damage anything important. If Brian is reading, can you tell me WHAT I possibly scraped? So far, doesn't look like I damaged my stabilizers, the only thing "low" that I can see is generator. Don't know if I damaged that.

What do I look for that I "scraped?"

I'm wondering the same thing. I'm in the Imperial Beach, CA area and it seems that every street has a dip. This is my first RV (3010DS) and i'm afraid to damage something.

I have stabilizers also and they seem to be the first to drag. If your stabilizers are okay I don't think anything else was damaged. The only other thing that drags is the trailer hitch which has skids on it just for this situation.

You are supposed to approach at an angle, but in Eureka, it was IMPOSSIBLE. The access entrances to the parking lots were STRAIGHT IN! Too narrow to go at an angle. So far, so good.

Most of the time you are scraping the rub rail on the bottom of the hitch. We put two triangle shaped (feet? legs? nubs?) that hang down off of the hitch. Those will rub first most times.

It vibrates the length of the frame because the hitch is frame mounted.

I can imagine it would feel/sound the same any place in your MH.
