second air?

Just wondering which sunseeker models can take the roof load of a second air. Even the rear vent on mine is 2x4 stud framed out, but I dont know about between the skin. The wiring for us anyway is not a problem as the hollow bath wall is around a foot away and straight down to back rear coach bay.

Thiughts? Anyone?

When we had our GTS2800 I was considering adding a second A/C unit. None of the vendors I discussed it with thought the roof loading would be an issue...

I would shoot an email to FR and ask. I know a couple of people that have added a second roof air (typically a 13.5 unit) in the bedroom of the Concords. I haven't needed to do that with mine, but then again I camp under trees in the summer. Shade is a wonderful thing!

Talk to Gary at Three Way. He and I discussed doing it to our GTS.

We added one on our 2800. Checked with FR first and they said no problem.

I added one on a toyhauler with no problem wat so ever. It was a 13.5K Btu’s and it was not prewired for it either ....

We are also considering doing this as the DW likes it freezing cold. There is somebody on here who had it done with a seperate 20 box and an additional 30 receptacle near the one that exists on the coach.

The Atwood non-ducted unit looks like a good choice.

We did, ours had a 20 amps fuse outside the camper with an extension cord to attach to the pedestal. It was not ducted and was only for the toyhauler section of the camper!
It worked like a champ 100% of the time ! I actually like the fact that it was separate from the other one so we can run 2 AC‘s one on a 30 amp pedestal and the only one on the regular 20 amp connection !
