We are new owners of a 2011 Sunseeker 2300, have been on the road for two weeks since the day we picked it up... thoroughly enjoying! We continue to discover new things and have found this forum to be one of the best sources of information on topics we are puzzled about, so we come to you again with yet another mystery.
Quite by accident, we discovered that our vehicle is equipped with some sort of security alarm, but we are unable to find anything in the manuals telling how to activate or deactivate it intentionally. The coach door handle has two toggle locks...with two separate keys... One round and one square headed. The first time we discovered that the square key fits the upper keyhole was when we accidently set off an alarm. Some combination of locking/unlocking coach and/or cab caused a blaring, repeating alarm to go off which we finally stopped by getting in the cab and starting the engine.
The square key seems to be a sort of deadbolt... does this also set an alarm, or are we way off? We are currently "residing" in a university parking lot... A security alarm would be handy, but could also be a perplexing annoyance if we continue to set it off ourselves!
Can anyone explain this feature to us?
