Sorry about that Brother - try the 5x5 Fence Post mod a lot of us have done - that Camco Rhinoflex sewer system is DA BOMB - i would never use anything else! (And yes, I had the same problem you did )

I don't have a Rhino hose, yet. Let's say it stretches out to 15', what is the length when it is collapsed down for storage?

Never bothered to measure it but I will say about 3 foot.

Sewer hose storage

With the elbow.
I could store my main sewer hose plus elbow plus an extension (with connectors) in the rear bumper of last years trailer. However, I couldn't store two compressed 15' hoses. I ended up buying a storage tube for that and then found I had to remove the connectors for it to fit in the tube 😢

So the 5" fence post and the 4" gutter is the way to go?

Ah, okay now I know what to plan on later.

Mine does not fit in the bumper so a tube with a sliding tray will be needed.

The Rhinoflex will fit in a 4" bumper but you have to rotate the collar so that the lugs (or whatever they are called) are facing the internal corners of the bumper. However, I could not get two compressed 15' lengths to fit in the bumper storage. Only the main 15' pipe and the extension. My other 15' length, minus the connectors) had to go into a storage tube bought from CW that I strapped underneath the bumper with heavy duty cable ties.

My project for when I next visit the US (next week) is to purchase a 5" white plastic fence post at Lowes and use that once I remove the OEM sewer storage. My current trailer doesn't have a metal 4" bumper so I'm storing the hose in a tote in the trailer basement. "Nothing is ever wrong. Just less desirable but we can fix that."

For us, it works well. Using carriage bolts and angle iron straps, I bolted it under the stock bumper. Our 15' Rhinoflex + 2 5' extensions, connectors and sewer connection all fit nicely in the "tray" (gutter) which serves as a great solid support for the hose when the slinky is extended

The old Jayco bumper held the cheapo hose for eight years with no rust. I figure the Rocky will do just as well with the Rhino, especially since both ends are capped.

I'm working on that project now. I'm still designing a good door/hatch mechanism.
I use to put my hose in the bumper but Louisiana roads chafed a hole in my hose sitting inside the metal bumper (it wasn't a Rhino hose but I learned which material is more forgiving). Right now I keep my hoses capped and in a 18 gallon Rubbermaid container. I'm not terribly pleased with that but it's better then the bumper. I want my compartment space back that is taken up by the Rubbermaid, and I have room under my coach for two 5" homebrew sewer hose carrier.
One carrier for the sewer hose and ends and the other carrier for my indoor/outdoor rug so it doesn't matter is it gets rolled up wet.

We'll eventually do the fence post storage, but for now we use a "wreath storage box" (it's round) that I caught on clearance last year after Christmas.

The Rhino fits perfectly around in it, with the fittings left on, and there's room in the center for hand sanitizer, gloves, etc.

We store the whole kit and caboodle in the pass thru storage. It's a bit bulky, so that's why we'll eventually do the fence post thingie.

Done! Came out great but unfortunately my indoor/outdoor rug couldn't roll up tight enough to fit in the 5" post.

I used 1/8" aluminum plate for the doors and a window sash latch for the door lock.
I will use the other 5" post for my extra hose that doesn't have a connector on the exit end - it's for dump stations.

I also included photos of my old system (Rubbermaid container) versus the new.

Yes I did. I bought it at Home Depot and it was primer and paint in one can made for plastics.
