We are picking up a 2015 Sunseeker 3170DS this weekend. Husband wants to flat tow his Silverado 1500. Anyone tow their truck? Any advice??

Is is a 2wd or 4wd? If it's 2wd with an automatic transmission, you can't flat tow it unless you remove the driveshaft.

Weight could be a limit depending on the hitch of the RV.

Yes hoping it has the 7500 hitch to match towing ability

The manual will tell you what you need to do to flat tow the 4wd 1500.

Your Silverado weighs 6000 lbs, cutting it close to the 7500# tow capacity of that Class C MH.
Might be too much if you plan to tow in the mountains.
What is the GCVWR of the Sunseeker?

Max curb weight for a 2017 silverado 1500 is 5500. So hopefully that is enough under for the mountains.

Flat Towing

Hello, I flat tow our 2018 Silverado Crew Cab 4X4 with our class A. I had to add better sway bars, steering stabilizer and a track bar on the rear axle. You probably won't need the track bar, but I would highly recommend the sway bars and steering stabilizer if you RV doesn't have better ones already. I'm guessing you'll feel the tail of the rv being pushed around when towing. Hope this helps
