Slide Controller location? - 2013 3170DS
Does anyone know where the slide controller is located for the Schwintek bedroom/bunk slide on a 2013 3170DS?

On our 2011 it is on the wall with the thermostat next to the light switch.

He meant the controller, not the switch to operate the slide. The controller is mounted on the top side of one of the outside storage compartments behind the passenger side tires. Least it was on my 2011 Forester 3171DS.

Thanks 757Dave, but as torino421 pointed out - I'm looking for the slide "controller" module location, not the slide activation switch.

Thanks torino421. I've been in those storage compartments hundreds of times over the past 5 years, but never specifically looking "up" for the slide controller module. I think if it was in there on my 3170DS, I would have noticed it by now, but I'll certainly take another look. I was thinking that it's hidden somewhere behind some interior panel, and before I start disassembling things - that I'd just ask here first.

On my 2017 3010DS it is under the bed and very difficult to access.

bayoubelle - That was one of the places I was going to look (under the bed), since the back of the power distribution panel is in that area. Actually, I was in there once before trying to chase down some plumbing from the fresh water tank (which is also under the bed), but since I wasn't looking for the slide controller at the time, I didn't notice it in there. This time I'll have to pay more attention to what else is under there once I remove the mattress and unscrew the plywood base. Thanks.

Ours is located almost all the way to the wall, behind the FW tank. This makes it almost impossible to access. Let me know if yours is more accessible.

Ours is in the outside storage compartment just above the water pump. We have a 3170ds.

Thanks to everyone that responded. The slide controller on my 2013 3170ds was located exactly where kgulya and torino421 said it would be... in the outside storage compartment behind the passenger side rear tire, up above the water pump access panel on the ceiling of the compartment - in plain view (if you look up).
I have to be the most unobservant person out there. I've been in that water pump access panel twice a year to winterize and de-winterize for 5-6 years, not even counting how many times that I've gone in there to open and close the fresh water tank drain. I've put things into and taken things out of that storage compartment so many times, but I never noticed the slide controller in there (not that I was ever looking for it). I guess I never "looked up". Now, can anyone tell me where the engine is located (just kidding)?

Hope I’m not the only one that has the controller located under the bed. Any 3010 owners out there with the controller under the bed and if so have you ever had to access it?

On my 2014 3170DS, the bedroom slide out controller is located in the top of the bin where the water pump, etc. is. I know I saw it there, but I don't remember if I had the panel at the back of the bin out at that point. I was looking for the drain for the fresh water tank.
