Slide leaking

We have a 2015 3050. Our last trip we drove in pouring rain for hours and had major water leakage at front of slide into rv. Noticed that slide is pulling away from body of rv at top. Any ideas?

This is still under warranty and we are returning it to be looked at but want your thoughts on this.

Curious, which manufacturer, Schwintek or Lippert?

I'm confused by what you're asking. Schwintek is a model line built by Lippert.

True, but their track systems are different, Schwintek has the track rails on the sides and the Lippert above Floor or wall slide use the under side track system. Both have different ways to manually open/close, adjust or synchronize. This is on the Forester/Sunseeker, not sure about other FR products. If it's the Schwintek, he may just need to sync the motors. If it's the Lippert, the in stop may need adjusting. He is taking it to the dealer anyway.

Get it to dealer ASAP!! if you are talking about the slide tower bracket pulling away from the body, as in the mounting screws have pulled out of the wall, have been there done that, needs to be fixed, others have had this also.

We had that happen to our 2013 Columbus bedroom slide (Schwintek) Dealer put longer screws in. On its second trip back to factory, they installed a complete new bedroom box and slide mechanism (under the bed) by Lippert. Said they were having too many problems with the Schwinteks.

Yes it was!! First attempt to fix was longer screws installed by dealer, second fix was installed new slide tower ( FR picked up the tab on that even though I was out of warranty. Thank-you!!!!) keeping fingers crossed it holds up. Like I said if this is what the OP has get it to dealer ASAP!!!

I had the same problem on my 3050s. Even after the factory "fixed" it! I think I finally fixed it. I used a 2 part apoxy behind the flange then added stainless steel screws with very aggressive threads. Kinda like particle board screws. I added 2 screws between each factory screw. If someone at the factory sees this thread you need to add a metal frame behind the flange for your rivet to grab on to. Riveting to the fiberglass does not cut it!

From what I was told by my dealer ( truth? , I don't know) is that there is suppose to be a metal wall stud right at the opening of the slide box. The mounting screws are suppose to thread into this and sandwich the fiberglass between the tower bracket and the stud. If the screws are pulling out, they missed the stud on the assembly line. Like I said is this true? or just a line from the dealer. Maybe Josh can answer this one.

Well we have it back. They readjusted the slide and hope that fixes the issue. Was told this is common. Guess we'll have to play the wait and see game. In the mean time we are seriously trying to decide what extended warranty to get. Thanks for all the input here. Helped us to ask better questions.
