Speaker switch

DW informed me that the speaker switch does change the output location. Honestly I never saw a need to move it. So what should the settings control be before I tear into it?

switch

On the 2300 sunseeker with 5.1 you should be able to switch speakers (I guess from cab only, coach only, or both. We do not seem to have that function. The question is what should be A and what should be B?

On my previous tt, A was front speakers only, B was rear speakers only, and C was both front and rear. Did you pull the switch and check for loose wires?

On my 2300, "A" setting is front cab speakers and rear ceiling speakers. "B" setting is front and rear ceiling speakers. "Both" is just what it says.

Ceiling speakers are better sound (obviously) than cab speakers, so when I am listening to music or DVD at campsite "B" is best. When traveling down the road, it is hard to hear the navigation if you have front ceiling speakers on, so "A" works better.

My DW is getting good at jumping up and changing back to "A" as we leave a campsite, because I always forget to do it when packing up.

I have that, and it doesn't seem to affect anything. I think it is meant for when you have outdoor speakers, I don't. (Sunseeker 3180)

From what I was told it is non functional if you have surround sound. I do have SS and switch does nothing.

We have surround sound and the switch does work. "A" is cab only, "B" Coach only and Both is both. We had an issue with the coach speakers and it turned out it was bad connections because of two improperly installed wire nuts.
Use the audio controls (balance, front and rear) on your system to isolate the speakers and check for sound. If you can't isolate them it's a probably a bad ground on one or more of them. Because of the way it is wired it certainly could make the switch useless.

On 3100SS...no outdoor speakers...A is cab speakers and rear surround, B is front ceiling speakers and rear surround, and Both is all speakers.

Going down the road I leave on A and change balance all the way to the front...that way I hear the nav and my music without bothering anyone else.

Watching a movie is on B with balance centered.

At a concert tailgating is on Both, centered balance with windows open and volume up!

Ours is a 2013 2450s and never has worked. Everything is controlled from the radio.
