Steering wheel center

Is there a way to adjust steering wheel to center without another alignment I have seen it done on you tube on older e450's

That's part of an alignment on the vehicle.

You really should take it back for re-alignment since that should be part of a proper alignment. If you are confident the wheels are aligned properly and it's just steering wheel position you can correct it by making exactly the same magnitude of adjustment on both tie rod ends. Ford is a "front steer" design so you need to lengthen the tie rod on the side the wheel is turned toward and shorten the other side. You could use the string method of running a string from the duals in the back to the front tires with the tires facing dead ahead except for the fact that they should be about 1/16" toed in. Make a little move with the tie rod ends, then get the wheels/tires are back where they were against the string and check wheel position. Do that until the steering wheel is where you want it.

All this being said it is very hard to do accurately and taking it back for an alignment to correct the problem is the best option. I have used this method on my classic cars with success and it's the recommended way to do ATVs.

Thanks ATVer I think you are right but I saw a you tube video where there was an adjustment on some older model where you adjust steering wheel without touching alignment but I guess that's not possible on mine do I need to mark the steering wheel where is tracking straight at now I won't be picking up again for a couple of weeks at rv dealer in myrtle beach sc

If you plan on adjusting the steering wheel yourself, make sure the front tires are some cardboard or layers of newspaper to allow the tires to move freely as you adjust. Is your vehicle 2wd or 4wd?
