sunseeker 2250 slec mods

Well folks, the old dinette is removed , 12 volt & 110 boxes removed and reinstalled in closet wall. Both seat belts removed and one seat belt reinstalled. The new recliners and pocket table are in and what a HUGE DIFFERENCE there is. Comfort and functionality compared to the old ,uncomfortable dinette is beyond belief.

Looks great Geeman.
Where did you get the chairs?

Put the dinette on Craiglist- I sold mine in a day for $300 (minus the table hardware)

Eric, chairs from Amazon -$230/each, a good deal. Yes, Craig's List for the dinette & I'll throw in the table. BTW ,I didn't have to move LP tank for the seat belts. Forester 2251 must be different than S.S 2250 on LP tank location. I also removed the "by FOREST RIVER " decals all around,l but left the Sunseeker-I like them. Also added a tube grill and a 100 watt solar siutcase w/ Anderson quick connects. We preparing for the boondocking in Utah and the left coast. I will post more pics , ASAP.

Very nice, looks great. We like the dinette so that stays but I wish I could have a recliner too.

Have you added exhaust fans or replaced the minimal one in the bathroom?

Bruce,IMHO - 2250 is the poor sister & hidden gem of the Sunseeker line. The queen bed S/Out & AND short (24') length were big selling points for us. Ordering a 2250 w/o the dinette is probably the only option.Adding a recliner option possible ,Joshua ?

Thanks,no fan changes for the near future , pending boondocking trip corncerns . Next mods will be Bilsteins all around and Roadmaster reflex steering stabilizer. Stock shocks are not the best IMO.

You will not be disappointed with the Bilsteins (I changed fronts only) and the Reflex.
Rig tracks MUCH better now- no jounce on the transitions either.

Did you dell the old dinette?

Options:
Overhead has either the entertainment center, or the bunk.
Dinette or Sofa:

That's what attracted us too - the length is more to our liking, and we like the layout overall. The bath is a tad tighter than our old Four Winds, but best of all, it was on the Chevy chassis.

We have lots of mods as well. Look for my posts here in the Sunseeker category.

Eric, did you mean sell ? No , not yet. The dinette is stacked up in our shed awaiting photos. In our old 5thwheel , we sold the couch that I took out , in two days. On the Bilsteins ,I figure to change all four now ,and not worry about it later.

German, I agree with others--very nice mod. Can you give more info on the chairs. I haven't found them on Amazon. Perhaps they are no longer available? Thanks.

We searched the big box stores w/ no luck. I struggled w/ the reviews on Amazon .I don't think some people can follow written directions.I also lubricated the reclining tracks, they needed it. There isn't a lot recliners available for a fair price. Good luck !

Yeah sorry- I meant "sell".
I sold mine in 1 day on Craiglist.

I see they now have an option for a couch.
I would have chosen that at the time if it was available- although the recliners do have a little more versatility and can be angled to watch TV better.

Yeah, we had a couch in our 5th wheel , no individual freedom of movement . The couch went by-by & we never looked back. The 2250 is built for two. Recliners is the way to go for two people. . Reclining after of a day of hiking or @ the beach is perfect !
