What gas mileage are other folks getting out of there ford class C motorhome?

How many miles on your MH? You may not even have the motor broken in yet.

True. We have a 2015 3010ds and it didn't really hit its stride until about 10,000 miles. But, even brand new, it should be better than 6.

We just completed a trip to Alaska and I kept detailed records and made notes as to the terrain and speed on each tank. We were loaded heavy but I am not convinced that weight is a large factor in mpg. Speed is the number one factor, followed by terrain with wind playing a role at times. We were not towing.

In summary, we averaged:

Hilly and fast (above 70) - 6.8 to 7.3
Flat and fast (above 70) - 7.1 to 7.5
Hilly and medium (60-70) - 7.3 - 7.8
Flat and medium (60 - 70) - 7.5 - 8.2
Hilly and slow (less than 60) - 7.8 - 8.4
Flat and slow (less than 60) - 8.8 - 10.6

I have a 2014 2860ds and I tow a trailer with utv in it and also took trip out west up and down the mountains. Averaging 6 mph is normal for me and I don't baby it at all. I feel if you can afford an rv you can afford the gas. In reality how much can you save.

I have listen to that for years if you can afford the RV you can afford the gas does that mean the smaller the RV the less gas you can afford or the more gas you can afford

Do you tow anything when getting 9 mpg and what kind of terrain are you generally in?
