SUNSEEKER 31 ft AC problem

Air Conditioner keeps flipping the switch off. Took it to a shop..the guy said its not freezing up...it would be up and running after an hour or so. This one takes 4 or 5 hours to stay on.
He says it is the compressor...Well, we are talking big bucks here !
The camper has 22,000 miles on it so it hasnt been used that much and it is always stored in a covered building. Yes, I am very disappointed that for the price of this thing...I either have to sit and sweat or go outside and sit under a shade tree for four hours.
I cant find the information on what I need to replace the unit...BTU,s ?
The book says Dometic but thats all.

Make sure your air filter is clean , check your inside evaporator coil make sure it clean . You can buy spray can evaporator cleaner , easy to use . Spray on , no rinse . I rinse my coil . Also you need to clean the condenser coil on the roof .just spray a garden hose stream of water in to the outside coil with a good nozzle .no pressure washers . And be careful on the roof . Be safe and unplug electric too . Just did our 3010 Ds .85 outside 44 at the quick dump grill . Our unit is two years old and the outside coil really needed a good wash . Try some preventative maintenance .

Give as much info as possible. My unit is 5 years old with no issues however, I have it serviced every year just like my home unit.
If you need to replace the unit, the dometic 15000 BTU with heat pump is an excellent way to go. Of course, this is IMHO.

Please post an update to your AC problem. Did you get it repaired, if so, what was the issue? Thank you

dorissto,
I see you have returned to the forum to comment on your issue in another thread.

Since it appears that you have made some progress towards repair of your 2010 Sunseeker it would be nice to know if you are interested in any help/advice/opinions this forum can provide.
Safe Travels,
Ducky

What is SOB? Short of breath?

We don’t know how to wash the coil. Do you take airco cover off? Or just spray through the box vents? And is evaporator inside?

I better download a manual. We have 15,000 BTU *great after it was replaced under warranty for a dead one* and the heat pump.
