Sunseeker TV Video DVD USB Bluetooth Question/Problem

This is a long post but I don't know any way to shorten.

We recently bought a 2013 Sunseeker 3010ds and got a great price from a dealer that is not a Sunseeker dealer so they were unsure of how certain things work. We focused our inspection on making sure the structure, plumbing, sewer and truck components looked good plus all the visible stuff. The only issue we found was an outside door not closing easily because of a loose screw. We made sure all 3 tvs (One center coach, one outside and one in Master) worked by selecting Antenna on the control box under the TV center coach. We think this is a standard video switch of some sort since there is a cabinet area dedicated to this. One of the simple things we forgot to bring for our walk through was a DVD to play to make sure it played on the TVs.

We recently went on a 2 night maiden voyage and everything worked very well and we had a great time. The part of the trip that was of some frustration was trying to get the DVD or USB/Bluetooth system to play a movie on any TV other than the little display in the truck cab itself. It seemed like a great design where you put in the DVD in the cab dvd player (Which appears to be both powered by the truck battery and the coach batteries) and simply push the button on the video switch to tell each TV where to find the source. The buttons for each of the 3 TVs were Antenna, DVD and some other Aux buttons. We tried everything and only the Antenna buttons seemed to work. We could get the sound to work (i.e. from IPhone via bluetooth or USB) which was nice but could not get the sound outside.

We even tried using the DVD on the outside unit and could not get it to play on the inside TVs even if that would not be ideal.

Are we missing something? Does anyone else have this setup and does it work in any logical fashion? Do we have something broken or cross wired? Is there a manual that describes the AV functions of a 2013 Sunseeker?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Dash DVD player feeds the switch box with RCA cables. Some builds we split those off and fed the TV as well. (So TV needs to be on AV1, switch box has no effect). If yours are not DIRECTLY connected to the TV (look at the back of TV for red/white/yellow cables), then the RCA cables feed the switch box and THEN the switch box converts everything to coax cable.

Soooo, with the switch box on DVD, that is feeding the TV with coax, so the TV needs to be changed to "cable" and then you need to scan for channels. With the dvd player going it should find channel 3 or channel 4.

Again, my recommendation is to split the cables and connect those cables directly to AV1 on the back of the TV. 1. It is a better picture that way and then when the DVD is playing just change TV INPUT from "AIR" to AV1.

Thank you Bclemens,

That explains the issue. We never thought to re-scan for channels after starting the dvd. So basically, the switch box takes input from multiple sources and always delivers to each TV as either channel 3 or 4.

Correct. As for the main TV, I would find a way to connect the RCA cables (a Y splitter is available) directly to the TV. That prevents the need to scan (just change source) AND further ensures you do not have interference if there are channels in the area close to 3 or 4.
