Ditto here. MassDOT took the FR Certificate of Origin and Ford COO and my 2014 Ford is registered as a 2015 camper. My Insurance agent handled most of the heavy lifting

My Husband and I recently purchased a 2016 model forest river forester 2251le we really liked. Upon trying to find information about the Chevy 4500 chassis specs etc I found a VIN decoder that says the chassis is a 2014 chassis even though my dealer papers say it is a 2015 chassis and 2016 coach. Should I be concerned about the discrepancy? We got a supposedly GREAT deal on a 2016 model.....we have not taken delivery of the vehicle yet. I understand the chassis is frequently a year apart from the coach , but the dealer papers and vin lookup are different.....thanks for any thoughts on things. We loved the motorhome

Ask your dealer for the Chevy Certificate of Origin

It may be correct, but I would suspect the decoder. I recently installed one and tested it on my truck's vin barcode and it was not 100% factual. As said previously, getting some paperwork will tell.

My 2015 has the Ford Vin with just numbers added to the end for FR. Idaho just used this vin as it is what is on the title and sticker in the coach behind the driver seat.

If you register the Ford F53 on my Ford, use the Ford vin from the plate on the chassis .

Our signature 2016 S.S is a 2014 chassis on a 2016 2250.

We ordered a 2015. The Chevy chassis is 2014 and tires are 2013. When you pay for new I would have at least hoped to get new tires not 2 year old ones.. I would have negotiated new tires in the deal had I known they were 2 years old. We love love love our 2300.

Ditto. My 2013 Sunseeker is on a 2012 chassis and the tires were from 2011. I had to replace them recently due to sidewall rot.

Also, when ordering Chevy parts, keys, etc it is important to emphasize your chasis model year rather than the year on your owners card. It can make a difference. Ie: I just had a spare ignition key made at the local Chevy dealer and the blank had to be for a 2012.
