I did try plumbers tape. I actually think it could be the metal plate on the arm and the TV backing that's rubbing. I'm going to take it down and put a thin piece of packing Styrofoam sheet between the two.

I took the screws out and put that thin packing Styrofoam between the plate and TV and also used it to shim it because it's doesn't lay flush.

Frustration

has anyone identified what company makes the 2 slot mount on the outside of the Rockwood Ultra V. I am trying to find a flat mount for the outside bracket, don't need the swing arm.
