Had the same problems, Just replaced them with the LED modules and that solved that problem, Not cheap but very nice, much brighter, The backup module is great. 10 times the light at night,

A little fyi if anybody cares....
Most oem lights will have a vent in them of some kind. Now there are a few without (like a lot of fords trucks and suv's) but most are vented.

Had these laying around my stall at work-

First pic is a Mercedes C class headlamp (arrow pointing to vent)

2nd is a '14 jeep Cherokee tail lamp. (Arrows pointing to the 3 vents, i removed cap to show the filter- kinda like coffee filter material over hole and under the cap)

I'm guessing most are vented for heat. The new LED's we see are mainly sealed.

I also keep a supply of bulbs. Not just one but, a complete set. Only had to replace them one time, but still!!
