Tail lights

Toured the class c plant at the FROG this week and saw new LED tail lights being installed, would like to know if they will work on our 2014 3010DS and if i can get them for it.

I added LED taillights and backup lights. These come from Bargman (the original manufacturer). They have an adapter that looks like the base of the original light bulb. Remove lens, take bulb out and put adapter into socket. Put LED module in place of original lens.

They are very bright and much safer. I replaced them after nearly getting rear-ended on the interstate when stopped for a crash in front of me. Had flashers on, but they weren't nearly as bright as the LEDs.

Order on Amazon.

are those separate lights? I just checked Amazon and was not able to locate the lights/lens in that configuration.

You would probably need to do some simple wiring and maybe drill a couple holes but it could be done.

No wiring. Plug in the adapter that is pre-wired to the LED module as if you were changing the original light bulb. This is an upgrade directly from Bargman--the manufacturer of the original taillights. Literally takes two minutes for each light. Only need a screwdriver. The module itself is completely sealed and when installed makes a weathertight seal with the original socket.

RvBill3 is absolutely correct.
Installed today on 2290s and they operated perfectly.

Just a question, would it be better to change the signal lens to amber instead of Red - while making this change. I am about ready to pull the trigger and make this switch when I noticed the Amber/ Yellow LED for the signal. What are your thoughts?

I think 2 reds for stop, turn, and tail on each side are more distinguishable and thus the reason the mfg. installs them-- not sure about regulation requirements either.

I have tried a pair of the Bargman LED replacements and they work great. Much better than the incandescent bulbs. I only replaced one light on each side at this time as they are quite expensive. I also tried Philips LED bulbs (Direct replacement for 1157) and they do work quite well, but not as good as the multi-element Bargman units. One advantage of the Philips LED bulbs, is they wont fail, if and when water enters the fixture. Note that the Phillips bulbs are engineered for automotive use and are extremely rugged.

Standard equipment now?

I am under the impression that the LED tail lights are now standard equipment on the Forester and Sunseeker. Am I correct?
Thanks

I did the same as maweb and did one one each side for the time. The only thing is the flash is slightly faster than the stock ones.

When I was chasing a trailer light problem I pulled the stock rear turn signal bulbs and found that they were doing the fast flash thing. Do I need to change a flasher if I replace them both? This is on a '06 E-450.
