Tire Cover Size?

X2 on not buying. Especially, if the vehicle is parked indoors.

UV light is not the only thing that breaks down rubber. Ozone does too just as much, yet no one keeps their tires in a nitrogen bubble.

Think of it this way... Those tire covers are going to look like crap in 5-7 years and need to be replaced... About the same time you will need to replace your tires anyway due solely on age alone.

Covered or not, it's just not a good idea to roll 14,000lbs on 6-7 year old tires.

Why not cover them for $40 is what I say. I just picked up a set at Walmart at that price but worth much more in piece of mind IMHO. I bought the smaller of the two sets- between 29-31 inches if I remember correctly. I've seen what 4 years of sun did to my previous TT tires...

Both points are very valid...I will bounce this off DH this weekend. Really appreciate everybody's input!

Postscript: DH decided to invest in the tire covers, given the price of the tires and the relatively low investment of the covers. Besides, they look snazzy. I ordered the next size up to fit over the front hubs and to avoid wrestling with them. Thanks again for the input!
