I believe the trim piece shrinks. As it is fastened at the ends, it pulls out of the corner to compensate for its shrunken shorter length. I released one of the ends (took the screw out), re-inserted the trim into the corner and pushed the trim material towards the corner (to ensure some extra length). I then re-fastened the end. Stayed in place after that.

John is correct. Instead of a vinyl seal on the outside, we use an automotive rubber seal in between the wall and the chassis.
