Trip report w/pics or Love My Sunseeker

I got back yesterday from my longest camping trip yet. It was 12 days and nights. I originally planned 2 full weeks to New England, but decided to visit family in Ohio instead. We covered 2,000 miles from Atlanta to Hershey PA, to Pittsburgh PA, to Zanesville OH, to Grass Lake MI, to Lexington KY and finally back to Atlanta. We added 4 new states this trip after not adding a new state all of last year.

This kind of trip where we move quite often is why I wanted an RV instead of a travel trailer. Much less setup/tear down on an RV.

Enough of my chatter, on with the pics. Unfortunately I didn't get the embed links to work so I deleted my text and embedded pics and just included a link to a Google Photos album.

Those tunnel walls look familiar - PA Turnpike? Everyone who comes to Pittsburgh should catch the view from atop Mt. Washington.

We have boat races here in the great north-wet as well. Not ever having attended a race, we headed to the boat ramp the day after the race to do a little boating/geocaching ourselves, when we found many of the racers had camped overnight in the parking area. We were able to walk right up & examine many of these little racing boats. One of the "pilots" stated it was like strapping on an outboard motor and going 70mph.....
Here's a link to one of the groups that holds this race:Newberg Memorial Weekend Boat Races – Columbia Outboard Racing Association

Yep. They were doing this when I lived there in the 70's and I can't believe it is still going. I was there 1 day before it actually started. I need to get up there for the event someday.
