tv antenna booster - where is it?

Is there a TV antenna booster in 3050S? Had lousy TV reception in MH. Same campground in the old RV got more stations. Hopefully there is one somewhere in the RV.

I had my 3051S antenna changed to the Wineguard model with the built in booster before taking delivery.

If its like the 2690, it is on the switch plate where the ant coax from the TV plugs into the wall, its a little push button switch.

There is only one even if you have multiple TVs. It's usually on the front or main TV connection box. Little button with a green light.

Right. You should se a little green LED light on when the booster is on. I just changed my Winegard wingman out and put on a JACK antenna, very easy to swap out, and it works much better, so far. Randy

Yep - I had a little green light along with a button on my old motor home. Went over last night searched everywhere in the RV and could not find any booster switch or button.

It is there somewhere. It is also the switch for controlling whether you use the park cable or roof antenna.

Don't you have a input selector/ switch box somewhere in a cabinet? If so press "cable" button on the front of the switch box for the correct TV you be viewing from.

Yes, it has a 12v feed to the back of it. It's made by magnadyne if its the same as mine. Always has power to it. Just punch the button for cable/ ant/ DVD. Like you, I searched for a "boost" button on near the power outlet like my older travel trailer.

Same setup on my new 3050S, I had the same question before. I couldn't get TV over air in ME either, but it works locally.

I do see some wires (not coax cable) going into the back of the box that has all of the switches (eg. antenna, dvd, etc..). I'll take a pictue when I get a chance. If I understand what folks are saying it's hard wired to be "always on" when I select the antenna option?

If your Sunseeker does not have a Winegard roof antenna system, you will need to let us know what type of antenna you do have so we can get the manual for you. That should tell us what you need to be looking for.

Yes it's a winegaurd. I'll try the suggestions when I get back to the RV this weekend.

I took out the stereo in my 8289WS and replaced the 3 out 7.5 db loss per port splitter with a 3 db loss 2 way splitter to feed the bedroom and the living room. I hooked up the tailgating connection in the bay to the output of my living room sat receiver.
Do this increased my digital signal strength by 3 bars on the same station.

The last post thoroughly confused me. My wife won't be happy when I have to tell her I'm taking apart things already on the new RV.

All I'm trying to do is watch the same TV stations I could get on my 8-year old RV with my brand new RV... didn't think it would be that hard.

You should not have to take anything apart. FINDING the signal selection panel is that hard part as it is floorplan dependent.

But if you remove the splitter you get more gain=more channels=more choice in rural areas. In Canada we have areas in populous Southern Ontario you can not get digital tv at all and maybe one noisy analogue channel.

Just a comment that less in the signal path means more channels.

B,

While not helpful to the original poster, I will put my comment to your post. The "signal loss" in a single digital quality splitter is quite small and the range increase would be measured in yards (not enough to make a significant difference in transmission tower reception). IMO
