TV Over Air

We were camping this weekend and noticed the TV in the front and outside only received 3 channels. The TV in the bedroom received 7...

I made sure switcher in the cabinet was set to living room and outside. Turned off each and tried again at each TV....

Checked connections....

Any suggestions?

Check to see if each tv has all the box's checked in the menu. That could stop you from getting them if not checked, then do a channel search. They all should come up the same. If not then you really have a weird problem. Couldn't begin to tell you why. Good Luck......

I think the only other possibilities then are:
-defective switch box
-bad cables or connectors
-bad TVs.

If you can get to the back of the switch box, try putting the wire to a "bad TV" onto the bedroom outlet on the switch box (that you know worked well). That will help isolate the problem.

Someone mention bad 90 degree adapters on the co-axial cables on the front and rear tvs. They removed them and got all the same channels on each tv.
Maybe worth a try.

I have seen with my TV's that different brands of TVs have different cut-offs for weak signals. I have even seen a digital converter box pick up more OTA broadcast then a newer digital TV.

If you have a TV you can move around you could check and see if it is getting the same number of channels on each coax connection.
