Two mysteries in our new 3010DS

Just home from our first run with a new 3010DS. All systems seemed to work well, no issues. Lots to learn as rookies. Two mysteries that need solved. First, we have 3 metal rods about 20" long that we found in one of the upper cabinets they are rubber tipped - we have no idea what they are used for??? Here's a pic.

Also we have 4 speakers mounted in the ceiling of the 3010DS and we can't figure out what and how to get sound out of them.

Anyone out there know anything about these items.

If they are adjustable could keep items restrained, or from falling off/out of the shelf's.

Do a search on here. Theyve both been answered several times.
The rods are for the slideouts to hold them in if they fail. I believe the radio has to be set to av1, and the tv speakers turned off

Alas they are fixed in length, no adjustment.

The rods are for inserting between the interior motorhome wall and the upper slide trim when the slide is not extended to keep the slide from inadvertently going out while moving. Biggest problem is not to forget to take them out when extending the slide. I don't think a lot of folks use them. Your PDI person should have told you their purpose..

For your speakers, check your equalizer/fader setting. It may be set to the forward speakers only. Check audio source settings as well.

Thanks to all for the responses. We are heading out again in a few days and will try these suggestions.

Good luck! I have the same problem with the leaking low point hot drain. I tighten it every few weeks but it seems to vibrate loose over time. One of these days when I am motivated enough, I will put a better shutoff valve on there and eliminate the problem.

I do keep the slide bars on board. I never use them routinely but a fellow camper with a forester had a slide failure this summer and did use them to keep the slide in until he could get it repaired. So I put them underneath in my "probably will never use but might save my butt some day" box

I know they are used for the slide out, but I use them to hold up my bed if/when I need to get under it. They work great there and it's a good place to store them.

Love these forums. I just found my rods, we're 100% sure what they were for, thought maybe the slides, but came here to check.
