U-Shape Table

Our unit has the U-shape Dinette, in the slide.
New 2014 unit (and no the pre-delivery did not go over this or the manual).

Removing table-top is a NO-BRAINER, loosen threaded adjustable knob and lift.

Removing the Silver Pedastal is a mystery to us, is it threaded into the floor mount or just pressed in, or what???? No set-screws in the floor mount.

Once we have table-top removed, cannot get the pedastal to budge, move at all for removel to convert dinette to sleeping area.

Thanks,
Markiemark

Also, is it by design that the table is off-set, meaning one side of u-shape seating further away from table ona d one side closer. I told wife this was to accomodate differenct size individuals at the table.

When we had campers with dinettes the pedestal was just a press fit. Try wiggling side to side while pulling up.

Just trying to confirm, was thinking it was just pressed in, design looks that way.

Ours is SUPER tight, I have tried moving back & forth, and pulling up, NO budge yet or movement.

Just did not want to jack something up.

Thanks,
Mark

The top is a round tube with plastic fitting...sets in and then you tighten the ring.

Bottom of that ribbed aluminum tube is tapered. Is is just pressed in. Yes it can be tight...but we tested about 100 table legs and this was the only one that did not wobble endlessly after taking it up and down 3 times. Just pull up on it, you won't break anything.

Wiggle back and forth and pull up hard. Ours was extremely tight the first time. We press it in firmly when replacing and it has never been hard to get out except that first time. It is a very good design. We like to loosen the top and rotate 90 degrees (and retighten) when we are just relaxing on the dinette seats. Also makes it easier for my wife to reach the cabinets above the table.

Had the same fun this weekend with our Coachmen. The top to the table was just a drop onto the tube. The bottom to the floor was a slot that required the tube be turned till the bottom of the tube and floor slot lined up then lift straight up. The slot in the floor must have a ramp in it to lock things tight. I did the wiggle and it did not move. Gave it a good twist one way then the other and it came off.

Please note the previous two posts were from other products.

Just to confirm, newer model Sunseeker's like the OP's have a rubber/metal ring on the top with a hand crank to tighten. The bottom is a tapered leg that friction fits into the base.

I just want to make sure the OP is not looking for a set screw or trying to turn the base.

The whole thing is 44"x82" (as in the flat sleeping surface). The table itself is about 36x24, taking into account the curved ends.
