Same thing on my 2012 forester - near the rear differential - has not caused any obvious issues - I chalked it up to flexing just like the front cap leaks

Repair completed. The crack was filled with a sealant followed by fiberglass as an added protection. Keeping fingers crossed that no further cracks appear.
