Underbelly

We have recently discovered a crack in the underbelly of our 2012 Sunseeker. wondering what type of material this underbelly is made of and what's involved in getting it repaired.

You will probably receive more knowledgable and intelligent answers but consider using the Eternabond tape.

If it looks like plastic cardboard, it is called Coroplast.

Although I repair my coroplast by patching it with large sections of coroplast and binding it together with a cumbersome gluing process, your best best is to eternabond it together and paint the EB tape to suit.

If you can post a picture of the underbelly material, we can tell you how to repair it.

Thanks so much for your replies. Since my initial post, I have found online the 2012 Sunseeker brochure. In it they describe "Vacuum-Bond Laminated Floor System". The layer that's cracked is referred to as "Fiberglass Bottom Board". Apparently its not considered a "underbelly". The dealer where we bought the RV has contacted Forester River for recommendations on repairs. Still waiting for a reply on that. Your thoughts and ideas are welcomed. Unfortunately I haven't been able to post a picture. Will keep trying

Underbelly/fiberglass bottom board

Here are the pictures. It has been recommended that we fill the void with Sikaflex or similar sealant or even just clean and cover with Eterna-Bond Tape. We are also exploring the possibility of getting it fiberglassed.

If the pictures represent the bottom layer of the vacuum laminated floor, I'd think you've got bigger fish to fry. A repair to that substrate from underneath is a band-aid for what are bigger issues with the floor. Is the floor inside spongy where that is cracked?

The floor seems solid from inside.
