Unknown switch

Newbee question, I have a 2013 3010DS and there is a toggle switch on the lower left of the drivers seat with a picture of a battery on it? Don't know what it's for? . Dealer did not tell me any thing about it.

Probably parallels the coach battery with the chassis battery for emergency start.

x2. If chassis battery is dead and engine won't start, hold switch down and start using power from the coach battery. Unlikely you will ever need it but good to have just in case.

I have heard that this switch can also be used to start your generator by using the chassis battery if your coach batteries are weak. Maybe someone can verify if this is true .

Not a good idea! Instead, start the chassis engine and wait a few seconds, by then the alternator will be feeding the coach batteries. Then you can start the genset withhout taking out your last asset.

That is true if you choose to. It will also let you put the jacks down when the house batteries are dead. Learned that one at an RV show.

However you do need to hold it down the whole time.
