Valve Extenders

Looking for advice on quality valve extenders for rear tires on my sunseeker. Inside dually straight extender holds air well but is too short and I have to remove hubcap to check air and fill. Outside dually seems to loose air too often after trips (guessing angle extenders are coming loose). Any suggestions?

Thanks

Remove all extenders and added external tire pressure sensor system so I can watch tire pressures on the dash. Solved the leaking issue. Using this system.

I too had unstable air pressures ( always had to adjust tire pressures every time I checked them) and thought it was the extenders but could never find the problem. I carried a bottle of soapy water so I could check for leaks every time. My 2012 was one of those with recalled Michelin tires. I went with BFGoodrich (made by Michelin) as the new Michelins were not readily available. After that my air pressures always are spot on and stable rarely requiring adjustment.

I am thinking on getting this external tire pressure sensor system. Is it easy to install?

Yes, just remove all extenders and attach locking nut and sensor just like a valve cap.

So are you saying to remove the extenders then put the TPMS sensors on the original valve stem and then put the exrenders back on the TPMS ??

Sorry, I am still confused. I was under the impression that you had to put straight metal valve extenders on the inner dual wheels and then curved ones on the front wheels and on the outside duallys. Then put the tire monitors on. The valves (not extenders) on our outside wheels do not allow enough room to put the monitors on them. Then the question is, what degree of angle of extenders do you order, 130, 180, etc. now you see our dilemma. We want to install a tire monitor system but no one can tell us what degree angle of extender to order for our 2012 Sunseeker.

So, these sending units attach directly to the rubber valve stem on the tire, and eliminate the extenders?

Valve Extenders

I think the sensors are a great idea and are in my future
However I have installed the braided steel extenders on my 4 rear tires riveted to the hub cap center cap
I discarded the little caps that have the over pressure buttons (for lack of better term?)
Not only did my air loss problems go away,it is now a piece of cake to add air
Three months straight my pressure is consistent
Prior to the valve extenders,3 of the tires were losing between 10&40 lbs during 3to 4week sits
I think the little caps that come standard are a problem

Anyone taken their sunseeker to a tire shop and had the (6) rubber valve stems replaced with metal? I want to go to metal stems, extenders, and tire monitors. Or how about new rims?

Shouldn't have to remove hubcap if you get one of these for the air chuck and pressure gauge.
