Thanks for making these. It is nice to see how it is set up for real life. You gave me several great ideas for using the storage areas. I also was interested in the toaster oven on the range.

We are trying the toaster oven now. My wife uses one a lot at home and we decided that since it is difficult to use the camper ovens, we would use a toaster oven. We don't use the stove top inside except for weather but even then we have an induction burner. So we can save on gas, produce less heat for the A/C to deal with and get better cooked food w/o burning the bottoms.

Video reviews of Sunseeker 2860 DS

What I have learned about my 2860 DS :
Shower seal leaks and water will damage floor
Old Coots Awning hold down kit /w poles is awesome, set it up even at the beach and forget it
Always use shore power or generator power when putting out the awning (it pops the breaker on Bat only power)
Put Legos under your big foot pads
There is a subwoofer under your dinette if you have surround sound, check to make sure the volume and gain knobs on the back of it aren't turned all the way down
Check your water pump for small leaks
Keep the slides clean and lubed (rubber and gears)
You will probably need to get a front end alignment soon.
We also use the stove burners for small stuff and a toaster oven set on top in place of the oven
For big boils (corn/seafood boil) I use the outside Coleman
Nice videos for the new buyer
Thanks, you reminded me why we got the 2860

These are great tips. I do not understand the Legos. Does the shower tend to leak in most 2860's or it that unique to your unit?

The shower has not leaked in my 2860. I checked and it is caulked well along the door. The door sweep does leave a little gap, but no water has come out yet. I did have a leak where the water line connects to the outside shower and dealer fixed it. I also bought some jack pads for the Bigfoot leveling system though I haven't used them yet.

Any advice on how to lube the gears and gaskets?

I'll ask the RV tech, who is doing our orientation next week, when we pick up our rig about the gears and gaskets.

My 2860DS is a 2013 model. No shower leak, my awning goes in and out on battery with no issue. I feel the 2860 is the best of both worlds. Small enough for all the boondocking I do at NY state parks (no electric, no sewer, no water at most plus smallish sites typically) and also big enough to live in when I go to Florida in RV parks during late winter and spring. I've had the typical issues with the unit, they're all suspect to some. Depending where you live, I've noticed during cooler weather, my outside kitchen door will bow. I've had it replaced, the replacement door does the same.

RV dealer sells a lube for the gears it's a thick sticky spray that basically prevents corrosion
There is another product that you use for the rubber it comes out like tire foam and then drys invisible.
Regarding my awning,if it has a full bat charge it works fine but if the unit sits and I try to put it out with less than full charge that's when I have issues
The Legos are what I call leveling blocks
FR may have addressed the shower sweep
My unit is a early '14
I bought a better quality sweep on Amazon
