Water in Storage

I have a 3170 sunseeker MH and noticed puddle of water in the storage area to the left of the door (under the refrigerator area). This only happens when it rains and when I did a visual inspection, couldn't find any water under the fridge area. Also, when I rub the top surface of the storage, I could feel the water (like a damp layer) on top.

Any help to troubleshoot the source of water and fix it?

thanks
Venkat

was the last rain a blowing rain? It sounds like the water is entering though your fridge vent on the roof.

Check the storage compartment door seal. Lay strips of paper on the seal, and close the door. Pull on the strips. If strips come out easily, the seal isn't tight. You may be able to close the gap by bending the place where the latch tab strikes.

I have the same MH as you and had water in the same storage compartment. Checked everything to see where it was coming from and determined that the seal on the compartement door was not sealing properly. Purchased new seal material from local RV store and haven't had a problem since. Good luck!

I had 2 water in a storage compartment and found the latch was not quite tight. On another I found a hairline crack in the lap sealant along the top of the trim for the hatch. I added some more lap sealant and haven't had it leak since. I did a video of the work if you want to see it:
