Water leak

Hooking city water up on Sunseeker 2005.
Waterleak carpet area at foot of bed on drivers side. The filter container under bed is broken. Confuses about why water would come thru it for believed it to be part of the portable water system not the city water system. Can anyone tell me if the city water goes thru this filter system or not?

I do not have your model but many/most water systems send
water through the filter either way.
City water or onboard tank- both go thru the filter.

FYI, you can replace the filter unit with a "whole house" filter
from Lowes, Home Deopt or any big box home center.
Even a local hardware store will probably have them.

Good Luck & Happy Camping!
