Water pump - brand

Does anyone know what brand of water pumps were used in a 2008 2860 Ds?

I can’t get to mine easily to see what’s in it (need help lifting the bed).

Thank you!

I think most Forest Rivers use ShurFlo pumps.

Is it not working??

If not I would suggest that you take it out to make sure that you have the correct unit. Nothing worse then ordering something then getting into the job and then realizing that you dont have the right part. Im pretty sure if you run into that situation you wont be able to use any water in your unit until the pump ir replaced or the broken one re-installed.

Just my 2 cents though. GL on your replacement/repair.

sorry i wasnt any more help.

Bob

Incorrect. The pump is only required if you're using the fresh water tank. Otherwise, the city water connection provides the pressure for the water to flow.

I'm pretty sure if you remove your water pump and connect the city water you will have a flood. its a 2 way pressurized system.

when you use the pump there is a seal at the city water connection that is spring loaded. You can test this by rressurizing your water in the rv then pushing on the center of the city water connection. Water will squirt out.

Whan you connect to City water the pump stops the water from flowing back into the fresh water holding tank.

remove the pump and have noting connect to the line and attaching city water means you now have a water mess.

I was only saying to the original poster to get the model and make sure to order the correct one UNLESS you are a plumber and can refit all the water lines to the new pump and inlet and outlet locations.

So saying im incorrect is incorrect. Maybe i wasnt clear enough on what i was saying previously.

Unless i am in fact i am incorrect.

Sorry for my misunderstanding. There should be no need to physically remove the pump just to get the make and model number to get the replacement. If you can access it, the number should be visible. In the meantime, the system is still usable until you actually have to do the swap.

HelenR, before we go off on a tangent, it's unclear as to why the information is needed. Can you enlighten?
