Water System Leak

Had a leak from the water system and tracked it to a piece beside the water pump. Can someone identify this piece for me so I can get a new one? Click image for larger version

That's a strainer for the pump. Where is it leaking from? The clear plastic piece screws on and off, make sure it's screwed on nice and snug. I found ours leaking as well, it wasn't on tight enough.

Also make sure the orange seal inside the screw-on part is properly seated and not damaged, kinked, or misaligned.

If the housing is cracked or the leak isn't easily fixed then you can buy a replacement from Amazon.

Gotcha, well $8 from Amazon and you'll be good to go. Just swap the housing over.

Looks like white fitting with teflon tape was screwed onto strainer housing too tightly. Don't make that mistake on new one.

Click the second picture, the clear strainer housing is cracked by the threads and is leaking.

I've had that strainer cover crack due to water/ice if I don't remove it while winterizing the MH. I don't use anti-freeze, just blow out the water lines..

I found that after draining the fresh water tank, I run the pump a little while blowing out the lines. Does a good job getting the water out.

Not really related to the original post but the picture made me remember an issue I had last year. How can you remove the metal clamp holding the white flex hose? Itís crimped right and I could not figure a way to get it off last year. I was trying to install a bypass valve to make winterizing easier.
