We sign on a Sunseeker tomorrow!
We sign on a 3170ds tomorrow! We were looking at a used 2015, but went to the camper show over the weekend and found a new one for the same price as the used one. 4 days later, we're all set and take delivery tomorrow!
What do I need to know for our walk through? We plan on camping tomorrow night. I had a Roo, so I know the basics about appliances, etc. But what about the tanks, anything different, hot water heater?

Congratulations on your new purchase, go over everything during the inspection. If you have any questions ask before leaving the dealership. It may help to also video the instructional part of the inspection for areas you are not familiar with.

Hockeytownmom, we are expecting our new Forest River 2650 to come in the middle of next month and I asked the same question.

We aren't getting the motor home today, apparently they weren't able to prep it for delivery today. So next week. We were hoping to go camping this weekend. :-/

They are most likely slammed from the show, maybe you can get out next weekend. Just look forward to all the fun filled times too come..

My apologies for not being clear. The 3170ds has numerous reports of cracks around the drivers side slide (which may be hidden beneath the rubber). I think there are a number of posts on this forum around this particular model and these cracks.

Make sure he points out to you where the fuse is for the awning, its a small 15 AMP fuse. In the 2900 it was by the step when you walked in the living area. I blew 3 of them in one season. Saves a service call. Winterizing it is a bit tricky going through the water pump. Video record it if anything. Congrats!!

It's in my driveway! It's is normal for there to be a lot of movement in the steering wheel? And I see what you are all talking about with tire balancing/alignment - that needs to be corrected. Also, the guy doing the walk through didn't mention the black tank flush system and it was pouring rain and I forgot. So what do I need to know, any helpful links?

Congrats!! We too just brought home our new 2014 3170ds!! You should check out my post from a couple of weeks ago. Folks here on the forum gave us some really great advice. I'm already doing a few modifications but so far we love it! Post pics, would love to see your new toy!
