What do you think of this prototype feature?

Ok, first - I use most of the 12 volt sockets especially the one at the dinette. I have a dometic 12 volt cooler I plug in there and fill it with bottled water.
I also have a decent 12 volt vacuum. Cool to have the 12 volt outlets all around (as well as the 120 volt).
In my experience with USB wires, plugs and kids - they will snap them off right at the plug point. Especially at the location under the dinette seat. My 12 volt cooler is often being kicked out of the socket.
I was going to install the multi-outlet (outlet with the USB) for the 120 volt outlets in the kitchen but thought better of it. I have a box full of 12 volt to USB adapters for most all or needs. In fact, my truck had the USB Ports but I still use the bulky adapter. Old fashioned I guess.
I like the concept but I don't see it as a "WOW" item personally.
I have plugged my phone USB 12 volt adapter into the 12 volt socket at the dinette seat and used a can coozie to hold my phone in the table drink holder. The coozie keeps the phone from bouncing around.
I will also mention that "we" totaled a tablet in a slideout - moving the slide back in, who knew the tablet was in the path. We now check the slide paths top to bottom.

We actually have this feature in the new Sunseeker 2450s we just bought and we love it for the charging. But I would have preferred not to have gotten the small net, as we only use it for phones and that space was perfect for mounting a clock or pics of the grandkids. Consider letting people have a choice about that. LOL - I have been trying to figure out what the heck that net could have been for. Now I know.

DYK640 if you have the 12v model, could you get a part # or manufacturer, I'd appreciate it. I would really like to get one or two of them. I couldn't find anything like it on the web.

Bclemens...earlier you said the 4 ports would be of the 2.1 amp type. I've always limited my phones to the 1 amp connections and only hooked up Tabs to the 2.1 amp slots.
Is there any danger to phones from a 2.1 amp slot? If so...I'd be sure to include both types of jacks OR put a big idiot sticker there!
Anyway... other than that ...good idea. Right now in my G'Town all I have is a single dashboard cigarette plug. I'm splitting that into 2 ...then plugging in the GPS to one side and plugging in a small inverter with both AC & USB plugs since there are none of those up front. Probably would blow a fuse if I ever tried to use it all.
Providing an alternate way to charge stuff is a good move...no matter what class!

We have this feature in our new Forester that we picked up last week. After our maiden voyage this past weekend I have to give it a big thumbs up! I must not have the discriminating taste of OC, or it could be that it is only my new mobile house <25 nights a year.
Please keep testing new ideas and thanks for the Dyson portable vacuum, it is a perfect addition for on the road. I of course have a few pet peeves that really should 'improved' to call out but that will be in a separate thread.
Bottom line, thanks for the charging station.

The phones ( or any other device) will only draw the current they need to charge, Connecting a phone to a 2.1 amp capacity connection will not hurt it. Think of this as a 3 inch hose with a small spray nozzle on the end. No the flow is controlled entirely by the spray nozzle.
