I tow a Ford Fusion Hybrid with a roadmaster All-terrain tow bar. It is front wheel drive but has a cvt transmission so no modifications are needed. Tows great. 4k miles this summer and no issues. Was going to get a dolly, didn't like the idea of finding a place to keep it while camping. Sure you are going to get many responses on this.

I tow a Honda CRV, AWD. If you pay much attention to what others are towing I think you'll note more CRVs as toads than anything else!

When we owned a Class C, we towed a CRV with no issues.

We tow a 2013 Subaru Crosstrek, Roadmaster Sterling bars and BlueOx base plate. Very happy with the Subi, wife is on her third Outback and the Crosstrek is my third Subi. Almost all Subie's with a manual tranny can be towed 4 down with no modifications. If you need an auto tranny, look at another brand--no Subie's with an auto can be towed unless FULLY trailered.

I have a large family, so we're towing a Honda Odyssey, probably on a Kar Kaddy.

We tow an 01 crv with blue Ox bar and brake buddy. No modifications to crv needed. Before you go you have to shift from 1 to 2 to drive then neutral for 3 minutes, then turn key to the 1 position. Not sure where I got it from, but was read you have to do that procedure every 150 miles. Also read every 500, but I try to do it about every 200 and have had no issues.

I tow a Ford Focus using an excellent tow dolly, the Acme. Fantastic design and it allows for the versatility of towing other vehicles as well. You can either store the dolly under your RV at the campsite or store it vertically...that is what I do. It takes less space than the bike rack.

I tow a Subaru 2014 Outback 6 speed manual with an Demco hitch and baseplate. Using an RVI2 brake system with TPMS system. Easy to hitch and tow. Have approx 2000 miles towing and no problems.

Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. 2012 and newer have no steering wheel lock, so no key needed. Simply put the transfer case into neutral, and the transmission (auto) into D, or gearshift (manual) into any gear. That's it. No periodic starting of the car, driveshaft disconnects, or anything like that. I use an Adventurer tow bar. You'll see a lot of Wranglers behind motorhomes. I like that I have a very capable off-road vehicle to use when I arrive at my destination. Does impact gas mileage a bit. 8.2 mpg with the Jeep attached, 9.7 without. I have the Chevrolet chassis on my 2500ts.

Planning on towing our 2014 AWD Chevrolet Equinox once I get the Blue Ox Equipment and Brake Buddy installed. I did tow a 1958 Austin Healy Sprite on a car trailer w/o brakes this summer and didn't even know it was there.

We tow a Wrangler unlimited 4X4, we have to leave the key on but i installed a batt cut off switch... we have a vacuum pump for the power brakes but that pulls power from the coach..
Blue OX base plate and tow bars,, all works great.... as a matter of fact the motor home stops quicker with the Jeep in tow then with out...

I tow a 4500 lb. 19 ft. open bow boat and trailer for camping trips here in NY State. When I go to Florida, I tow a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix on a Forest River tow dolly.

Does anyone camp closer to metropolitan area's with a C and not pull a toad and use public trasportation or sometimes rent a car to explore?

I live in metro Detroit and public transportation is a foreign concept to us, so when we travel, it doesn't cross our mind. As for renting, you have to be close to a rental company and sometimes that's not possible. Mackinaw City, MI - no rental companies, for example or public transportation, unless you're going to the island. But going into the UP or further, nothing.
