Since there is no ground and no difference in neutral and hot, it may have come off an old light/wall fixture used during assembly at the factory. Just my guess???

Can't see the underside of the part laying on the counter but my guess is a night light of some sort.

That's what I was thinking when I mentioned the wall/fixture. Looks old, too. Probably dropped, fell apart and they didn't bother picking up all the pieces under the slide.

Yep, trash. Go back and check for more. Take your phone and take a few pictures in the hole where the motor and drive go. Found trash and two nuts. Used a magnetic to retrieve.

I would just toss it , nothing I would want to use, and I wouldn't plug it in, but thats just me.
