This may or maybe what this light is on your MH. Take a look near the hitch and see if there is any sort of 2 pin connector like the one in the photo attached.

Looks just like my Ready-Brake Indicator for when my surge brake is activated. Previous owner probably kept the brake and may have tied up or removed the connector shown, mine has the same one.

From everything I have seen this does look like a light for the braking system thanks

Missing the obvious
You all are missing the obvious. It is not a lite, it's an eject button for the DW.

Oh my gosh, if you only knew how many times I've told my bride to "just take a nap!" She (and admits it) is a terrible traveler, totally freaked out by construction and mountains. That answer for the button is too funny, though.

You don’t know how many times I wished I had such button. DW is the same with freaking out. Came back from a 9 week trip in Class A traded in for the class B+, she is a lot more comfortable traveling now

Dcbenny, I am curious to see how she is traveling in a MH compared to a TT.

We never had a TT but did have several pop ups which werent so bad. The Class A was difficult as when she sat in the front seat with the large window and hanging over the guardrails especially over bridges it just made her to nervous. The Class B+ she just loves it as it is a Ford E450 and will, probably drive this one as years ago she drove an ambulance as an EMT.

Yeah, in thinking about it, probably won't be any different. She reminds of a horse with those blinders on because she is always putting her hands up to the side of her face to block the mountain views or the semis 5' away.

Same here DW has panic attacks in the front seat on our Class A, I just have her sit on the couch for the scary roller coaster rides as my daughter calls them. Me I am loven it. way better than the last little trailer we had, Looking forward to next year's cross country trip. Just have to remind my self how much weight I have . The braking system is awesome.

Could be for an aftermarket alarm system? I bought a new car years ago that can with an alarm. Thought it was a factory alarm but nope, it was installed at the dealer. On that car, i had a little red led similar to that. It would blink when the alarm was set. The was a tiny switch under the panel to disable the alarm.

I have a Roadmaster Brakemaster system on my Jeep toad, it has a switch which is activated by the brake light switch on the Jeep and lights a similar red indicator on the dash of my motorhome so that I can tell that the system is working, it only has one wire (hot) as there is a separate ground between the toad and the motorhome.

I recognize that plug.
I believe it is for a Ready Brake surge brake. I have one. Just the surge brake that is an addition to your rear hitch.
Here is a link....
Ready Brake and Ready Brute Home
I installed the surge brake, but never did install that light and plug you have in your dash. It would light up when the surge brake activated. To let you know it was working properly.
