Thanks everyone. Guess the MPG didn't scare me enough as I filled out the paperwork on a lightly used 2014 2860DS with 5400 miles tonight. I pick it up Friday.

2015 3010DS for me and I've already done some 1000+ mile trips on the highway. Avg around 7.6mpg and that's towing nothing. Avg speed 60-70 mph

My 2015 3170DS towing a 16 foot open trailer with UTV and ATV averaged 6.3 mpg on our first trip out. 500 mile trip from IL to MO with a pretty decent side headwind during the trip down. Drove between 65-70 mph.

The RV has 820 miles on it and I am hoping to see a minor improvement in mileage as the engine gets more miles on it.

Doing the same trip this weekend and I plan to keep the speed closer to 65 this time.

We have a 2011 E450 Sunseeker 3010DS and we tow four down a 2007 Jeep Liberty. We get between 7-9 mpg with or without towing. When we tow, we put on the Tow/Haul mode on the transmission.

on a separate note, we have our 3010DS on the market. Search this forum for more details.

So far, 5000 miles, seems like my E450 Forester 2451s is getting 7.5 - 8 MPG. 6.5 MPG when pulling Mini Cooper toad.

Mostly under 65 but speed doesn't seem to make much difference, even running 70 for a tank.

Have a 2015 Forester 2501 (they're built exactly like the Sunseekers with a few additional perks) on a Chevy chassis. Not pulling anything, but loaded up pretty heavy and have been getting 10+ mpg.

There are a lot of steep grades here in SW PA. I usually get 6.5 going to the mountains, and 8 coming back. I just put in a K&N air filter and was surprised at the difference. One 5 mile stretch in particular usually has me at 55 MPH and 3400 RPMs. This time I was at 55 and 2800. Passing another truck was never an option in this stretch, but this time I had no problem. I have to put the Scangauge back on to get some real numbers, but I would highly recommend the upgrade.
