Go with what your owners manual recommends.
Opinions on oil are like navels, we all have them.

Due to the high oil temps seen due to engine loads, I'm a firm believer in synthetic oils for engines in MHs and trucks that are towing as they deal with the higher oil temps and fight oxidation better than conventional and synthetic blend oils. For a daily driver car it wouldn't make any difference as long as the correct oil change intervals were followed.

My $0.02.

I like spending money for the good stuff mobile one synthetic. It gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling. I can't prove it is better than dino oil. I just believe all the hype. Also use the ford filter or mobile one brand. I also change the oil before 5000 miles. Did I tell you I like spending money? It gives me peace of mind.

Not telling anyone when to change or not to change as they want, but, the technology built into testing and developing oil today to meet todays tough engine specs? Well todays oil is not like it was when I started driving and doing my own oil changes. Back in the early 70's, you would drain oil at 3000 miles and it was BLACK and the smell was horrid. For my last 3 trucks, 6.0 diesel, 3.5 ecoboost(still running it), and 2017 6.2 ford, I change oil at 10000 miles. Use full synthetic oil and wix filters. I have oil analysis done every other change, and they come back, Normal Wear. I've been a diesel mechanic for over 40 years and cannot remember a engine failure because oil wasn't changed every 3000 miles. Every failure I've seen has been because of ---lack of oil, or foreign substance in the oil, such as sand, fuel, antifreeze. As I said, I'm not trying to tell you when to change your oil, but I for one don't have the extra money to spend on extra oil changes. Oil analysis is $12. Saves me a lot of money and time.

You can tell the difference from dino if you open up an engeine with a 100,000 miles on it. Dino creates sludge synthetic says fluid. I use Mobil 1 in all my vehicles.
