Window tint

Has anyone added window tint to their rigs? I was considering it for privacy and keeping things cooler while at the beach but the guys at the local tint place said that they can't remove the screens? We were able to do the big back bedroom window since it doesn't slide. I have a 2017 3170 DS. Anyone have any ideas on how to remove the screens?
Thanks in advance!

I did the 3 large ones on my rig (2251).
They work great and you cannot see in during the day.
The screens I believe I just pried out.

Did not do the overhead bed windows or the small kitchen one.

I did all my windows, except windshield and small driver and passenger window.

Not only does it improve security, it significantly improves the ability to keep cool in the summer.

I did a short article on my blog site:

It won't do MACH 2, but I can get a sandwich and take a pee.

I have a Jack Russell terrier who can easily remove the screens. Just need to turn a squirrel loose outside the window.

I put Gila Heat Control film on several windows of our 3010. Makes a big difference in cooling. Pretty easy to install too. I just bent the screens till one side would come out. They spring back to original shape, then just do the same to get it back in.

The installer took the screens out using a credit card. It took about 5 seconds.
Before I brought it in, I spent an hour trying figure out how to get them off without destroying them.

Got it!

Thanks folks...I guess I was a bit hesitant to pry or bend anything on the new rig. I ended up taking Brian's advise and bent one side, then the other.
Thanks for the tips and glad that I didn't have to resort to my two german shepherds looking at a squirrel outside!

See you had good results with solar film to keep heat gain down. Any new ideas about the subject. We bought our 2018 Forester 3011ds last October in NY and brought it back to TX. Had no problems dealing with cold weather, but the recent temps has changed that. In AL and MS this week, the inside of the RV was very warm, even with the AC going full blast. Trying to find a solution to keeping cool during the day, camping this summer in TX.

The “home” part of our 2018 Sunseeker comes with factory deep tint windows.
I recently had the two cabin side windows done to “legal tint standards” here in Ontario, and that has substantially kept the cab cooler than ever before, along with providing additional privacy as seen in the accompanying photos.

If temperatures are extreme, we still use reflective windshield screens like you see in parking lots at Walmart and such.
