Winterizing Kit

Not really the time of the year for this, but we went on an early trip a couple weeks ago and the temperature has been going into the 20's at night and have been running heater. Doesn't look like we're in the clear for the temperature, so I decided to get a winterizing kit. I have a 3010, and had to pull off the black plastic in front of the pump to get to it. Do you have to modify the piping, because I don't have nearly enough room to fit this in. It has a plastic female to female adapter and then the 3 way fitting. I temporarily just screwed the hose on to get it winterized but was hoping to hear what you have done to make it work. Thanks

Alright, so I wound up finding an old post from 2012 on this. The pipes look a little different on the 2012 than the 2015, but same idea. I had to cut about 2 3/4 inches off the top blue pipe. Also needed to get a regular hose clamp because I don't have the tools for the pex pipe. Here's a couple pictures. It'll be nice to not have to dump it in the fresh water tank now.Click image for larger version
