Wurth Battery Control Center

I have a Wurth BBC in my 2014 2450. I'm wondering if FR is still using Wurth or has changed suppliers. I'm having some issues and have had zero luck finding information online. Makes me nervous if I had a complete failure, where could I get parts and/or support?

They have changed suppliers and there was a recall on some Wurth BCC's.

I saw the recall. It was for the BIM. I don't believe mine was included. Wonder if the newer unit is the same size. Thinking if it would be a easy replacement ...?

Not sure what "BIM" is. All I know is that FR replaced my Wurth BCC under a recall/warranty at no charge in my 2014 3100 SS.

The BIM is plugged in the board of the BCC. I think it's Battery Information Monitor. My warranty is over and the recall doesn't cover me.. My build was after the affected units.

Mine was replaced with a Precision Instruments unit. Same size but not real easy to replace. The tech at the dealer worked on it for about 2 hours. The whole unit comes apart from opening and there is a lot of that blown insulation that needs to be removed.

That helps a lot. 2 hours isn't too bad 😀
