Would you want the recliners to replace the sofa or the dinette? I'd guess sofa, so the TV is in a better viewing location.

I might be able to work something out. We had talked about doing a proto.

My first choice would be...both! If the tables were on arms that inserted into the arms of the sofa, couldn't they insert into removable arms?

If that's not possible, I'd opt for removable arms to make the sofa more comfortable for sleeping. (Might not be as big an issue if the Solera over-cab bunk area had more vertical space...)

Bclemens do you see how important recliners are in Class Cs? Just to be able to watch TV in a comfortable position would be awesome. I am sure that all class Cs aren't purchased by families that need the couch for sleeping space. We threw out that worthless barrel chair already in favor of a Euro recliner that fits in the identical spot and is moveable to watch TV. We have a 2450S full body paint, Entertainment instead of bunk etc. trying the Snowbird thing in FL, retired in our mid 50s, no kids, wanting to step up to the 3050/1 but need at least a couch that reclines. We do not really want a Class A but are being forced that way because of comfort. Comfort that could be offered in a Class C.

We always have at least one folding tray for a table fan in the bedroom that could be used for the couch if there is a crowd eating. Can't tell from the picture but the inserts for the tray may detract from the looks and comfort of the arms. Not sure if the arms being removable would be necessary unless one was to sleep on it folded up. Mention of a folding arm rest for the couch (like a car has) would be a nice feature as well.

We are considering moving up to a 3011, do the recliners lay flat for sleeping?

Well, its not as simple as it sounds. On a trailer you can pop a lazy boy in and off you go. OUR recliners have to pass seatbelt testing.

having said that, we already have a dual recliner option on the 3010 & 3011. The R model Sprinter has just been cleared and we're looking to run a proto on the 3050/51.

Every slide floor that is different, has to be re-tested.

Recliners don't lay all the way flat, but pretty far. Consider it snore prevention.

Yes, we would want the recliners to replace the sofa. Also, it would be great to maybe have a tray table(s) either in between the recliners or on the outer arm of each. Maybe I'm dreaming, but it would be nice. As far as the TV, we would be ordering the side mounted TV rather than the entertainment center arrangement. Would really like to see a picture if you do a proto.
Thanks

the recliners already get the tray tables in the arms like the sofa.

For those/he who wonders if the table takes away from the aesthetics of the sofa. Here is a picture with the table out.

(Ps. I am told you can buy all sorts of things that fit this grommet. IPad holders, cup holders and other tables)

The 3050/1 seems easy enough. The couch is not on the slide side. I hope it passes all the tests. It reclines just right for us.

This would be a fantastic option, Brian. Now, the only other thing that would make it perfect would be if we could order the recliners in an all-cloth upholstery..... possible?

Lol. Looks like I need to spec your unit out. Who's your local dealer? I'll get it dialed up for them and tell them the sale price for this unique proto-type. Trading anything?

I have a 3170 and would replace the couch. I purchased unit used less than a year old was a rental unit. The couch is the only item that needs to be replaced. Very uncomfortable. I vote for replacing couch with dual recliners and the trays. Would this fit into 3170?. Would like to thank you for monitoring the posts. As well as all the effort you put in making a great Rv even better.

It would probably fit in there. The sofa's we replace with the recliners are 68". The only issue would be mounting points. We have to put specific framing in the floor for the recliners and the 3170 would not have that. It isn't anything that we would do, due to set belt testing.

Could recliners replace the couch in a 2015 3010DS?

Anything is possible...but again the backer in the floor will be the issue and we just started putting that in there in the last couple months.

We are going to be buying the Sunseeker MBS 2400W and would really like to have the dual recliners instead of the sofa. The dealer said to wait and see if it would become available. Fortunately, we have time to wait, but will have to take the sofa if the recliners aren't available by May 2016.

2400W has no options for sofa or recliners at this time.

I'm sure you have your reasons offering only the U-dinette, but maybe this is a temporary position and in time you'll find there is some other possibility to offer us. I have confidence in you!
Packards initially were all black. The owner said that you could have one of his cars in any color you wanted as long as it was BLACK.

I think it was actually Henry Ford that said that....
