Your chance to vote! Sofa style.
How many of you actually knew the arms of the sofa came off to make a slightly longer bed?
Those arms add a little weight the way they are designed and are sometimes difficult to get off if they're in there tight.
For floor plans that have a sofa option (no dinette only a sofa) we talked about airline style tables so that you have a place to eat whether the slide is IN or OUT and no cumbersome table to set up. But what if we could do that on any sofa?
Attached is a picture of a prototype that we did. There is a little metal disk and the table drops into that disk on both arms.
Would you rather see something like this? Or leave the removable arms?

This would be a great feature as far as I am concerned. We rented a Sunseeker last fall to go for a trial run before taking the plunge to buy one of our own. When we watch TV, we like to have a glass of wine and/or a snack. We had to take along one of our wooden TV tray tables along and set it up between us, then had to stow it when we were driving each time. Here's hoping that this becomes either an option or a standard feature before we buy our 3050S. Count at least 2 votes for us!!

I knew about the removable arms. In a class C, I want the removable arms. Perhaps the fancy picture would work in Class A's.

How about a comfortable sofa first? It's painful to sit on let alone pull the arms off and sleep on it.

I didn't know about the removal arms! But I could use the table tops as 7 of us don't fit at the table for dinners in the fall/early winter.

Would just love to have the double recliner like the 2800 option available in the 3050 or Forester 3051. I would trade immediately.

Double recliners in the 3050S would be awesome!! would definitely order that option in our upcoming Sunseeker purchase if it was available. Maybe double recliners also WITH the removable trays!!

Why not have both available as options.

I knew about the armrest of the sofa. In fact, you have to be careful about reinstalling them in the correct location and direction. They can be reversed which can cause damage when you fold the sofa into a bed or vice versa. The outside of the armrest has more filling and when installed incorrectly, the metal hardware catches on the armrest and could rip the material.
As far as the selection - I like it as is. We have drink holders on the windowsill behind the sofa and it works fine for us. I think a side table would be too susceptible to breaking by too much weight (leaning on it) or knocking into it walking around the sofa. A folding center armrest might be ok though.

I I was just going to say that. One option shouldn't preclude the other.

Why not make the arms removable AND have the tray option?

New to posting to the forum but have been lurking for a while. We have a 2650s being built with an expected delivery date in February. Dont expect we'll see the prototype sofa but would absolutely love it. If you need a volunteer to try it out count me in.

IF the trays were on a double recliner I'd vote for it, as is..... no comment!

Having a whole host of options for every preference sounds great in theory, not so great from a production and stocking standpoint.
