Adding a picture to a post

Type in the post but can't figure out how to add a picture.
I download a file, but it doesn't show up in the post?

You didn't specify whether you are posting from a computer or mobile device?

To post a picture from a computer...
Click on - Go Advanced.
Click on the Attachments icon at top (paper clip) or scroll down (below post area) to the Manage Attachments button below your message screen
Click "Browse" and find your picture on your computer.
Be sure that the photo is appropriately sized.
Forums software will automatically reduce the size, but smaller size photos will upload much faster. You may select several photos to upload at the same time by repeating the last step.
Click "Upload"
Close window.
Click "submit reply"
(most times, previewing the post does not show your picture, it will show up when reply is posted)

The "Forums 101" thread is always a good one to bookmark and has the answers to a lot of the more common forum usage features.

Post #7 there may help in this question:

Forums 101 - posting, accounts, basics

P.S. I also split off from this thread another question pertaining to pictures not oriented correctly. You can find that topic at this link:

Pictures appear sideways or flipped
