1. These bad ads keep coming back under new urls
2. It's harder to block in the app as it's a tapatalk product and we have less direct control.
A quick google will show you how pervasive this issue is for IOS users and we are as frustrated as individual members because it's so annoying that folks simply stop coming around.
NOT to be snarky, but this is sort of interesting, as all the Apple users keep suggesting I switch to Apple stuff, because no Apple products ever have viruses, or malware, or anything bad happen to them (like posting sideways pictures. LOL)
Disconnect.me will fix it, I'll bet.
And yes, the Devil made me post that.

I just called Amazon and got a live person! Go into your settings! Go to Amazon! Disable notifications! Then you will learn if it is Amazon or phishing going on! Dan
FWIW. My iPhone notifications for FR forums has always been in the off position. I still get the pop up.

This is because it's an unwanted ad - not served up by the forum as a standard notification. The notifications setting has to do with notices about new plies to discussions, PM and other system communication.

As one who converted to Apple in 2007 I take no offense. I hope no one hassles you over your comment.
We rarely get any stuff that intrudes on our happy computing so even a minor issue is a big deal to most of us.
Just to be clear, this is not an Amazon problem. I have seen similar pop ups pretending to be other companies.
All my settings are as suggested in previous posts in this thread.
I only receive these pop ups while on FRF and one other web site.
